PARENTING CLASSES

Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts require, in almost every instance, that divorcing couples with minor children complete one of the Court approved parenting classes.

Parenting Classes are designed to educate parents on the effects divorce has on minor children of different age groups. The classes encourage parental responsibility,  how to discuss the divorce with your children, and what is appropriate to say to your child regarding their other parent.

The Court may also require a parent to engage in a more traditional parenting program if there is a high conflict custody or visitation issue.  These programs address parenting and families in more detail and are longer in length.
